The community there in general really frowns on anyone who says anything about their ideas making no sense.
For example, people signing up for 0 AF Amex Platinum cards who don't even travel, or even a PRG...are literally wasting inquiries for nothing.
I never really feel that I attack anyone on there; I merely try to tell people plainly when I think they are being foolish/impulsive. They claim to make 175K with their "partner/spouse/f buddy" yet somehow continue to have debt problems and high utilization.
Whether it has honestly stopped any bad behavior, I don't know. I remember this one from not that long ago, already filing BK7... ... Same bullshit as all the "1%'ers" over there who keep applying and asking for CLIs.
People look up to him with his huge limits etc which I think are either BS, or else someone so wealthy shouldnt be wasting their time on cc sites. Hard to be Friendly, Supportive and respectful (which in and of itself is complete horseshit!
The American Dream is traditionally defined by a climb up the socioeconomic ladder to a comfortable middle-class life: a small business built from scratch, a house in the suburbs, a two-car garage, and the first generation of college-educated kids.
4chan could be their forums and the general public wouldn't care I think the most ridiculous part of it all is that it is FICO itself.
I don't understand how they condo allow the absurdities that occur over there to continue. FICO makes money of off royalties not public image. They are hypersensitive anytime anyone questions someone's decision to apply for a card for example. I guess they want people to app away, but it's just crazy.

I try to remind myself that most people are not going to listen (and the ones who need to listen the most listen the least), and have already decided to do what they will, but it's hard because I want to help.

They have established themselves as the defacto credit scoring agency, so very little will threaten their hold on the credit world.
